Lamplighter Award Nominees and Winners

Several of you who are in middle school have asked for Christian Fiction books with Accelerated Reader tests in the library. Unfortunately, there just aren't that many AR books that are also Christian Fiction. There are, however, books that convey wholesome values, uplifting characters, and edifying themes with positive messages. So reads the description of the Lamplighter Award. Each year, books with these characteristics are nominated for the Lamplighter. They are books that are typically read by 6th - 8th graders. To make it easier for you to find these books in the library we have tagged them with a "Lamplighter Nominee" or a "Lamplighter Winner" note in the library automation system. Just go there and perform a keyword search for "Lamplighter." We are in the process of getting them all marked so the list will keep growing until all are marked. Happy reading!
